Please note: these coasters are NOT sealed before or after etching as it will prevent the coaster from absorbing water, making it an ineffective product. Slate, sandstone and unglazed ceramics have the ability to keep your drink from pooling and collects up to 1/4 cup moisture without a problem. The coasters then dry as the water evaporates and are able to be used over and over!
